The annual “Lotus Awards” Celebrating Women in Business, a program of DeSoto County Business Women, honors individuals in DeSoto County who have excelled in leadership and community service and who have inspired others on both a personal and professional level.
Outstanding Woman in Business Award - Individuals selected for this award embody high standards of excellence, dedication and accomplishment to their respective organizations, industries and the business community.
Outstanding Woman in Nonprofit Award - This award is presented to individuals who work within the fields of nonprofit, education, or government. This woman embodies a high standard of excellence, dedication, leadership, and accomplishment to her field.
Emerging Woman in Business Award - This is presented to an individual with less than five (5) years of professional experience. This award recognizes a woman who has begun her journey to make a positive impact on the community she serves and is a budding inspiration to others in her profession.
Diamond Achievement Award - This award is presented to a woman with at least 25 years of professional experience. This award recognizes someone who has inspired and empowered many generations of women and has had a positive impact on those in her profession and in the community.
The awards will be held each summer along with the changing of the DCBW Officers for the upcoming term of service.
